Dance Mommy, Dance Daddy

As many of you know, I am a doctoral student that is a pastor at a church of 1600+ active members...have been married to my beautiful wife for almost 7 years now and have two boys (2 years old and 3 months old). Occassionally all of this converges in to that perfect moment of chaos.

That moment arrived yesterday morning....a Sunday while on the way to church. On a normal Sunday, I leave for church before my family and we take two cars. Because of a repair to one of our vehicles, our family was forced to ride together...meaning getting the boys ready to go early! Mix in a lack of sleep recently (4-6 hours/night due to a doctoral seminar closing in) and an alarm clock not going off properly and....chaos.

Then, in words of wisdom spoken from the back seat, I hear my two year old get excited about the song playing in the car and telling us to dance..."dance mommy, dance daddy!"

And in that moment, all was well. Nothing else matters. Everything we are doing, we are doing for Him, and for His glory. And that we must keep remembering, and never forget. It is our motivation, it is our calling, it is our joy!
